Lisa W. Timmons, Esq.
Lisa W. Timmons, Esq. has over twenty-five years of experience in alternative dispute resolution. Timmons is the chair of the ADR Section of the Michigan State Bar, and Executive Director of the Mediation Tribunal Association. She serves as an arbitrator, mediator, fact finder, and case evaluator of labor, employment, commercial, and consumer cases with AAA, FMCS, FINRA, USPS & APWU (Detroit District), the Labor Relations Connection (LRC), and several state arbitration and mediation boards.
Timmons is a member of Professional Resolution Experts of Michigan (PREMi), Michigan Regional Chair of Women in Dispute Resolution (WIDR) for the American Bar Association (ABA), and Chair of the ADR Section of the Wolverine Bar Association. She maintains memberships with the national and many local chapters of LERA, the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), the Society of Federal Labor and Employee Relations Professionals, ArbitralWomen, and the Labor Guild of the Archdiocese of Boston.
Timmons earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution from Wayne State University, a Juris Doctor from Detroit Mercy Law, and is a Michigan licensed real estate broker.
Timmons was selected as an Associate in the College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA) 2024-2026 program, named an Up-and-Coming Lawyer in 2021 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly, and received the ADR Hero Award in 2022 from the ADR Section of the Michigan State Bar.
